Hyderabad: BITS Pilani will conduct its 39th edition 'APOGEE' technical festival with the theme of 'The Digitized Renaissance' for two days from March 20, in virtual mode. Bizz Buzz is the online media partner for the event.

The festival previously had speakers like Muhammad Yunus, Nitin Gadkari, Rakesh Sharma, Stephen P Morse, Kailash Satyarthi, and other eminent personalities. The technical festival will exhibit over 550 projects in various fields of science and engineering across 17 different categories based on practical applications. Over 600 research and review papers from wide range of categories will also be presented.

This year, various categories of events including computer science, robotics and automation, electronics, BITS business conclave, mechatronix, civil, and chemical, will be organised.The events include robots of war, grand prix, stock market simulation, hackathon, international coding league, and many more.

A film fest, quiz fest, and literature fest will also be conducted at the annual technical festival.Vikramaditya Motwane, Bollywood director and writer, will be guest speaker for the film fest and also a film making competition will be held. The film fest will have photography and cinematography workshop by the Film and Television Institute of India.The literature festival in past had seen speakers like Ashwin Sanghi, Anand Nilakatan, and others.

There will be workshops on artificial intelligence, machine learning, AR and VR, cyber security, internet of things, quadcopters, and robotics.Exhibition halls on Indian navy, mitra bot, nanobots, and Indian army tear gas. The festival will have social initiatives like NSS blood donation camp, Aarohan, Right to education, and Dhiti.

BITS will conduct cultural events in the night as 'Professional Nights'. The event will have performers like Alfatunes, The local train, Zakir Khan, Abish Mathew and many more.
